- It has been a privileged to be a general surgeon for the last 25 years and a bariatric surgeon for the past seven years. For the last five years I have been doing exclusively bariatric surgery. At present I perform about 250 bariatric operations per year and have completed a total of over 1,500 bariatric operations. After graduating from University of Cincinnati College of Medicine in 1980, I completed my general surgery residency in 1985 at the Maine Medical Center in Portland, Maine. I am board certified by the American Board of Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery. LOL...you crack me up! I love that you all are so down-to-earth. It makes a patient feel more at ease during stressful and/or overwhelming appointments. Your laughter is wonderful to see and it's obvious you enjoy your jobs and those you work with, yet you also have just the right amount of professionalism to instill confidence that you are here to help and really care.
